Two stone homes with a wood fire
Both homes at Cal Correu have a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, plus central heating. Hort, on the ground floor, has 3 bedrooms for 7 guests; Xida has 2 bedrooms for 6.
They are restored stone houses: thick walls, antique furniture and a full kitchen so you can spend the whole day indoors if you feel like it.
The firewood, the woods a few metres away and the quiet of the village do the rest. This is the kind of stay where nothing is urgent.
Autumn and winter in the Moianès
At 887 m, autumn arrives early: beech and oak woods turning colour, misty mornings over the Vic plain and short afternoons that invite you to light the fire early.
In winter it sometimes snows. And even when it doesn't, the frosts leave a clean, bright landscape perfect for a well-wrapped walk.
Sea of mist from the cliffs
On days with a thermal inversion, the edge of the plateau looks out over the Vic plain buried in mist. Worth one early morning.
Woods and mushrooms in autumn
The Moianès woods are classic autumn walking country, with chestnuts and oaks, and paths that start in the village itself.
Winter cooking
Fully equipped kitchens in both homes for slow stews, with local produce in Moià and at the Vic market.
A weekend of fire and forest
Friday: arrive at dusk, light the fire and have a quiet dinner in.
Saturday: a morning walk along the cliffs, an unhurried lunch and an afternoon reading by the fire. For something cultural, Les Coves del Toll are 12 minutes away and open all year with prior booking.
Sunday: a long breakfast, a short walk through the village and an afternoon drive home.
Rates and season
Outside high season rates are lower and stays tend to be more flexible, so autumn and winter are the best time to come unhurried.
